Pastor Michael Saylor
The Reverend Michael Saylor was installed as the pastor of Redeemer, Convoy on January 12th, 2003. Pastor and his wife, Laura, both grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana and graduated together from Elmhurst High School (Class of ’83). They were married March 14th, 1987 at Mt. Calvary, Waynedale.
At the age of 30 Pastor Saylor entered Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne. He spent his vicarage year serving under the Rev. Reuben Garber of Our Savior, Athens, Alabama. Pastor graduated May 21st, 1999 and was ordained and installed as Assistant Pastor of St. Paul, Ida Grove on June 13th, 1999. It was while serving at St. Paul, Pastor Saylor received the call to Ohio.
Pastor and Laura have been blessed with seven children: Hannah, Leah, Elizabeth, Adam, Emma, Lydia and Sophia. In addition to being big sports fans, the Saylor family enjoys camping, hiking and traveling.
